14) Take responsibility for securing tools, equipment, accessories, minor components, items, and parts by adequately tethering to prevent dropped objects (Ability, intermediate level)

15) Show interest in taking correct precautions to prevent dropped objects during demanding situations such as emergency procedures and drills and when encountering adverse environmental conditions (Ability, basic level)

ELEMENT 2.1 - EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN IN OWN ORGANISATION

Learning objective :

16) The participants can explain what nacelle, tower and basement rescue preparations, emergency, communication, and command procedures apply in their own organisation (Knowledge, intermediate level

The instructor shall:

a. the number of rescue personnel available on site for a rescue operation and availability of additional rescue personnel

b.

the required level of res cue training depending on

the work location in the WTG (e.g. working in

the hub, or in the tower)

c. communication procedures during an operation, including how to contact the back

-up or rescue

team, emergency medical treatment (EMT)

(e.g. ambulance or fire service ), site lead, service vessel,

helicopter search and rescue (SAR), and the means of communication

used (e.g. radio, mobile

phone, IP phone, or sa tellite phone)

d. command procedures during rescue operation s, e.g. who holds command, the

site lead or a

designated member of the rescue team

e. national requirements relevant to rescue operations ( e.g. confined space regulations and emergency procedures)

f. the estimated response time for professional emergency

services to arrive
