The aim of this lesson is for participants to apply
Nacelle, Tower and Basement Rescue Initial Training
methods and techniques as a single rescuer in a realistic enclosed
-space or tower rescue scenario, including
assessment of organisational conditions, selection of rescue strategy and execution of descending or ascending single rescuer rescue operations.
After successfully completing this lesson, the participants can:
72) Explain how their own organisation’s nacelle/tower/basement emergency response plan, rescue equipment and staffing model influence whether a single rescuer

Initial Training operation is feasible and safe (Knowledge, intermediate level).
73) Assess and determine an appropriate single rescuer rescue strategy for a given nacelle or tower scenario, including choice of route (inside tower, basement, or transition piece), anchor points and rescue equipment (Knowledge, intermediate level). 74) Perform a single rescuer descending or ascending rescue operation from an enclosed space in nacelle, tower, or basement to a primary or secondary assembly area using a rescue stretcher/transfer board and a manually operated or power -driven lowering/raising system (Skills, intermediate level).
