c. one personal rescue/ evacuation device and one assisted rescue device, or
d.
two different assisted rescue devices

anchor points:
e. fixed anchor points, fixed structural anchor points, permanently welded or bolted in place
f. flexible anchor points, temporary or transportable anchors , e.g. cable slings, beam clamps
The height of the anchor point shall ensure that , in the event of a fall , the energy absorber can fully deploy and prevent the participant from contacting the ground (or structure directly below the anchor point)
Note
Anchor point height
GWO recommends an anchor point height of 6.75 m for the evacuation exercises. The recommended height is based on the following formula:
𝑅𝐷 = 𝐿𝐿 + 𝐷𝐷 + 𝐻𝐻 + 𝐶
RD
=
required fall distance clearance (minimum anchor point height)
LL
=
length of lanyard
DD
=
deceleration distance (fall distance)
HH
=
height of suspended worker
C
=
safety factor
The value for HH represents the length of the suspended worker after a fall and includes factors such as the height of the person and harness stretch . To account for these variables , HH is set to 2.00 m. Using HH (2.00 m), together with t he maximum allowed values for LL (2.00 m) and DD (1.75 m), and the minimum allowed value for C (1.00 m), gives:
𝑅𝐷 = 𝐿𝐿 + 𝐷𝐷 + 𝐻𝐻 + 𝐶
𝑅𝐷 = 2.00 𝑚 + 1.75 𝑚 + 2.00 𝑚 + 1.00 𝑚,
