Un premier Gala Juste pour rire
Ils se livreront une bataille du rire lors d’un premier gala qui aura lieu le 27 février pro- chain. Issus des régions de Stormont, Dun- das, Glengarry et Prescott-Russell, ces jeunes francophones ont été entraînés par des humoristes franco-ontariens diplômés de l’École nationale de l’humour, deMontréal. Parmi ces 12 jeunes humoristes, trois d’entre eux ont automatiquement reçu leur billet d’entrée pour le second gala du 28 mai, qui aura également lieu à Cornwall. La soirée du 27 février sera animée par l’humo- riste Korine Côté. Lors de cette soirée, les spectateurs pourront voir les performances d’humoristes de renoms comme les Kathe- rine Levac, François Massicotte ou encore Jérémie Larouche et Alex Bisaillon. Les jeunes humoristes en devenir pro- fitent des trois formations qui leur sont of- fertes pour se perfectionner. Ils apprennent à écrire des textes humoristes, à éditer leur texte et ensuite à présenter leur texte devant public. «C’est une occasion en or pour notre relève franco-ontarienne de participer à un gala d’une telle envergure, a affirmé la présidente de l’ACFO-SDG, Danielle Duplan- tie. Family Day fun for all in Rockland Awhole day of fun awaits children and their parents at the Rockland YMCA for Family Day Monday. Valoris Prescott-Russell, with expert and able assistance of its community partners, the YMCA staff and the Rockland Optimist Club, has an all-day plan for lots of free family-style entertainment Feb. 16, as part of Family Day in Ontario. «We have a strong volunteer program,» said Nadia Ringuette, of Valoris. «This (Fam- ily Day) gives everybody a chance to get together and have a good time.» The morning begins with a family swim session at the Y pool and face painting for children in L’Escale hallway. Over in the Optimist Performance Hall, it’s big-screen funwith Big Hero 6, courtesy of the Rockland Optimist Club. Other morning events include children’s games, balloon art, and bouncy castle fun. Just before noon, there is a Drums Alive! whole-body exercise session for all ages with fun exercises to the beat of drums. More family swim fun opportunities in the afternoon along with hip-hop and zumba sessions, plus a crafts workshop. Pour la toute première fois, Juste pour rire et la Fondation canadienne pour le dialogue des cultures présentent le Gala des Rendez-vous de la francophonie, au Théâtre Aultsville de Cornwall, le 27 février prochain à 20h. L’ensemble de la communauté de l’Est ontarien est invité à se rendre à Cornwall pour ce premier événement de l’humour où 12 jeunes, âgés entre 14 et 18 ans, ont été choisis sur 28 participants lors du Concours LOL qui se tenait à Casselman le 11 février.
