Others say that “the eye of a needle” refers to the door through which camels were some times pushed. How foolish the reason ings of man, and how resolute the tes timony of Scriptures. Jesus made it clear that salvation is from the Lord. Ephesians 2:8-10 clearly tells us, “For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath be fore ordained that we should walk in them.” We must penetrate this culture of ours with the Gospel of Christ. We must enter life where people live. Our testimony must ring true and clear, invading for righteousness the casual culture of every age with the revelant redemptive Gospel message of eternal life. Unload your status symbols and follow Christ. * * * Every sermon should change the person in the pew or it should be changed by the preacher in the pulpit. * * * LEGALIZING ADULTERY An item of news issued by United Press gives word from New York where the County Bar Association has been calling for sweeping changes in state laws governing sexual behavior. This includes a recommendation that adultery no longer be considered as a crime. Drastic revisions were urged during these public hearings. The as sistant New York County District A t torney, H. Richard Uviller, a/rgued that “although there is a tradition in cluding adultery in the law, we sug gest it is fantasy and unrealistic.” Proverbs 28:18 de c l a r e s , “Where there is no vision, the people cast off all moral restraint.” * * * As with principles, it isn't the great gush of water over the dam that weakens it, but the mere trikle under it.
A NEW FISH CALL A new invention could well revolu tionize the sport fishing field. The lat est gadget is a multi-frequency tran sistorized “fish call.” By the use of this little electronic device fish are au tomatically attracted to the spot where it is placed in the water. The manu-

Sound waves of the lower cycles are only moderately audible to the ear. These will travel some 200 or 800 yards through the water attracting the fish directly to the source.” According to the inventor, this sonic fish call doesn’t give a fisherman unfair advan tage any more than a duck call gives a poor shot any special help in locating the game. In the Bible, the Lord Jesus has told those who seek to follow Him that they should be “fishers of men." Do we attract others by the way in which we live? We are to be a “sweet savor” of Christ. Every believer is the only Christian somebody knows. We need to make certain that our hearts are pure, and that as this sonic fish call atrracts fish under the water, we draw in the net so that those with whom we come in contact find the joy of a saving knowledge in our Lord Jesus Christ. * * * Our eyes were set in front for several reasons, not the least of which is that we're to be looking forward and not backward. * * * The futility of riches is stated very plain ly in two places, the income tax form and the Bible. 25
