to our church. He started attending Sunday evenings. Then, one night, when the sermon was over and the invitation given, he came down the aisle, brushing the tears out of his eyes, and confessing Christ as his Saviour. Some time after my wife and I visited him on a Sunday afternoon. He was out in the backyard playing with his little girl. The ladies were in the house and I went out to talk with him. Almost before I could say any thing he told me, “I’m the happiest man in the world! I didn’t know that life could hold so much joy for any one human being. Why, everything’s changed since I found Jesus as my Saviour.” Today that man is a valued deacon Of the church. The change al ways shows when we allow Christ to come into our lives. He is knocking at the door of your heart today. He wants to change your life, your fu ture, and your destiny if you will only surrender all to Him. Then some day He will change you into His own glo rious likeness bearing you spotless be fore His Father’s throne. Do not de lay; come to Him today. I have kn own many wonderful Christians, but none like Jesus. Have you ever said about some person, “I don’t believe I could live, even in heav en. with that man.” (Maybe he feels the same way about you.) If you are a believer in Christ, as well as him, then you will both be changed. All of our bad points will be gone which will make it possible for us to live in per fect harmony with one another. Someone may ask, “How long does it take for this c h a n g e to come about?” My friend, that is a wonder ful thing. It will come about “in the twinkling of an eye.” In the original the word gives us our English word “atom.” In other words, this is the smallest divisible amount of time. That is how long it will take for this change to transpire miraculously. When I was pastor of the Broadway Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennes see, a certain man had a grocery store just across the street. Someone told me, “That man is drinking him self to death! He is ruining his busi ness and breaking the hearts of his wife and small daughter.” I went to visit him, with an invitation to come
