BUDGETS & ATTENDANCE Finding ways to capture lost funding and reduce expenditures was a consistent conversation during Budget Advisory Committee meetings. As we looked at the data, we realized that the District is losing approximately $200,000 in revenue from students missing the two school days prior to Thanksgiving Day. To recapture that loss, we have amended our Academic Calendars for the next two school years to have the entire Thanksgiving week off and start the school year two days earlier. Also, during July 2025 and July 2026, the District is considering having a “dark week” where all facilities will be closed to staff, students, and communities. This will help reduce costs during non-school days of our facilities. The two calendars are below and here are links to the calendars in ‘grid’ form: 25/26 & 26/27
