Dear Cattlemen, Cattlewomen and Friends , It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to our 48th Annual Hilltop Angus Farm Production Sale. I think it is safe to say that this cattle market has far exceeded any of our expectations! Record high prices being tested almost weekly in the barns and on the board has created quite a stir! In the midst of all the noise, I think it is pretty clear and evident that these prices are a by-product of the commercial cattle operations making the commitment to stay the course, through thick and thin, while ultimately creating a higher quality product year in and year out to help drive the demand in the retail sector. It is encouraging to see this hard work and commitment receive the dividend that has been long overdue. With the continuing demand for higher quality product, we at Hilltop Angus are striving to match that need for genetics that will continue to move the needle and create more profitability to the commercial producer. We still feel it all starts with the foundational cowherd behind these bulls that will continue to add value to your bottom line. Trouble-free cows that have the balance and production to optimize performance in your calf crop is our goal. Lastly, and most importantly, we want to express our most sincere gratitude to all the cattle producers and friends, whose vested interest in our program has allowed us to grow and progress over the last 70 years of raising Angus cattle.
