Welcome All to our 18th Annual Sale held here at the farm. What a great time to be a part of the cattle industry. We all know it has it’s challenges, but what a great way to make a living and raise a family. 2025 brought record highs in the market and an opportu- nity to cash in those big old herd bulls for top dollar, lowering the replacement cost of your next herdbull. I also think cow efficiency can play a big roll in profitability. Our cows are selected to be easy fleshing and have enough capacity to utilize forages which has in- creased our ability to graze later into the winter months or as long as our northern climate will allow. We continue to use AI heavily in our breeding program. As well as selecting top end herd bulls. All of our heifers, 1st and 2nd calvers and a small group of mature cows are sincronized and AI’d one cycle before bull turnout. We have 50 bulls on offering for your selection. Pre calving the cows received scour guard and 7 way. At birth the calves were vac- cinated with Enforce Three, then at about 3 weeks we gave them a booster of 7 way and a Bovishield Gold 5, and a One Shot Ultra at turn out. At weaning they received a booster of One Shot Ultra 7, and a Resvac 4/ Somubac, then poured in October with Dectomax, and in January with Cleanup. Pre weaning we introduced creep feeders with 70% oats, 20% whole corn and 10% protein pellets. We feel this is a safe and effec- tive way to lower stress at weaning and get calves started on feed. Calves were weaned in early October. Post weaning the bulls were fed a high roughage 47mcal +/- TMR consisting of chopped hay, corn silage, wet distillers, and high moisture ground corn. Along with a dry mineral, and free choice salt and Flaxlic tubs. We’ll see you on sale day! - Sys Simmentals
