The Bred Heifer Offering
Something new to our offering this year is our bred heifers! We are extremely excited to offer up a solid set of heifers right out of our replacement pen, bred right to the herdbulls that we use to produce many of the bulls selling in our sale. They are backed by the proven genetics in our herd, focused on fleshing ability, performance, udder quality and high maternal traits. We normally sell around 150 cows each fall between our two ranches, retaining a majority of our replacements to keep our herd young with fresh genetics. But selling privately off the farm can be very tedious and time-consuming, so this year we decided open up the offering to our customers by selling an excellent set of breds through the sale. With trying to not make it turn into lots of extra work, we are selling them in lot groups by due date and color, with the option of buying choice twice per group, or taking the whole lot group with the winning bid. If choice is taken twice, the third bid must take the remainder of the group. Please note, with the heifers being bred right to our sires, that are focused not only on calving ease, but performance as well, we cannot guarantee that all the sires are extreme calving ease bulls. A few of them are new sires that are not proven yet. We have never had issues with our heifers calving unassisted, but we do keep a close eye on our heifers in case any assistance is needed, and we ask that you do the same. We are very proud of the group we have put together! We are excited to see the “Explosive Difference” our females can make in your herd!

All heifers will be pregnancy checked within 10 days of the sale and are sold as guaranteed bred with no further guarantee. Please see page one for vaccination and health records on the heifers. All heifers purchased MUST be picked up within one week of the sale. Buyers are responsible for lining up pickup. Many of the heifers are due to start calving soon after the sale and we ourselves have to turn our focus from the sale to getting ready for calving ourselves, so we will not be providing nor arranging delivery. Please bid accordingly. Heifers are being sold as non-papered. We will be charging $100 per head to transfer papers. Please notify sale staff at the time of purchase if you want papers transferred. Volume and take home discounts do not apply to heifer purchases.
