Edward Brinson has 30 years working for the electrical utility industry: eight years with Florida Power and twenty-two years with Entergy. During this time, he has worked in both distribution and transmission. His job duties have included: distribution and transmission planning, distribution and transmission relay, distribution and transmission operations centers, transmission operation training, substation and transmission maintenance, and distribution design. He is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Florida and holds his NERC Reliability Coordination certification. Edward Brinson
Hassan Hamdar Hassan Hamdar joined SERC in July of 2019 after the transition of FRCC into SERC. Hassan worked in various roles at FRCC for over 11 years. His main focus at FRCC was event analysis and situational awareness but he was also responsible for misoperations reporting and system operator training. His role at SERC is Program Manager of Event Analysis which is something he really enjoys. Hassan has a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Florida and he is a NERC Certified System Operator
