A da m Gu inn Adam Guinn is a Lead Engineer who has worked for Duke Energy for 17 years where he currently works in the Transmission Operations and Planning Strategy group. Adam joined Progress Energy as a System operator in 2004 where he worked as a TOP and BA System Operator, obtaining his NERC Certification at the RC level. During his time at Duke Energy he served as a System Operator for 4 years, an analyst and application developer in the Energy Management System (EMS) area for 6 years, a System Operations Engineer for 6 years, and have been working in Transmission Operations and Planning Strategy group for almost a year. Adam obtained a BS in Electrical Engineering and a BS in Computer Engineering from NC State University in 2003. Adam later obtained a MS in Electric Power Systems Engineering and a Renewable Electric Energy Systems Graduate certificate from NC State University in 2015. He became a licensed Professional Engineer in North Carolina in 2004.

Benjamin Gibson Benjamin Gibson is a Senior Physical Security Analyst at the Electricity Information Sharing and Analysis Center (E-ISAC). Benjamin analyzes incidents and threats affecting the North American power grid, and constantly writes and briefs on those topics to inform the electricity industry across North America. Prior to joining North American Electric Reliability Corporation, he was an exercise analyst contracting with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to develop all-hazards emergency preparedness exercises for critical infrastructure. Benjamin has a Bachelor’s degree in Government from Patrick Henry College.
