WELCOME TO SKATE AMERICA

We are delighted to welcome you back to Allen, Texas, and 2024 Skate America. As with last year’s event in Allen, we expect big things in the kickoff competition to the 30th ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series. The first of six global stops, Skate America serves as an important competition for many of the top skaters in the world attempting to qualify for the prestigious ISU Grand Prix Final in December. The top six skaters and teams at the conclusion of the series (based on points) will qualify for the Final in Grenoble, France. The Dallas-area figure skating community runs deep, and having World and national champions and medalists take the ice at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center is truly something special. Athletes in the four disciplines — women, men, pairs and Ice dance — are sure to excite everyone with their incredible skill and performance qualities. U.S. World champions Ilia Malinin and the ice dance team of Madison Chock and Evan Bates, and U.S. World silver medalist Isabeau Levito are the event’s domestic headliners. The international field is also loaded, with the likes of 2023 World pairs champions Riku Miura and Ryuichi Kihara of Japan, and France’s Kevin Aymoz, fourth at the 2023 World Championships and second at 2023 Skate America. With a field of 56 athletes representing 14 countries, you will surely witness unforgettable performances and many dramatic moments. We are glad you are here. Enjoy!

Sincerely,

Samuel Auxier President of U.S. Figure Skating
