DEATH SPIRAL: A forward inside death spiral STEPS: Any step sequence FREE SKATE | The well-balanced free skate consists of technical and artistic moves choreographed to best display the skaters’ individual strengths, skills and ability to perform as a team. Shadow skating (in which partners perform identical maneuvers some distance apart) and mirror skating (in which the pair’s moves are in opposite directions and mirror each other) are aspects of pairs skating. DURATION: 4 MINUTES (+/- 10 SECONDS) LIFTS: Maximum of three different lifts, which must all have different abbreviations.
TWIST LIFT: Maximum of one twist lift (take off must be a toe loop, flip, Lutz or Axel) THROW: Maximum of two different throw jumps JUMPS: Maximum of one solo jump and one jump combination or sequence. Maximum of three jumps in combination or sequence. SPIN: Maximum of one pair spin combination with at least one change of foot and one change of position by each partner, and a minimum of eight revolutions total. DEATH SPIRAL: Maximum of one death spiral, which cannot be the same as the death spiral performed in the short program (forward inside). STEPS: Maximum of one choreographic sequence.

LIFT: Any hip lift take off (from Group 3) TWIST LIFT: A double or triple twist lift (take off must be either a flip or a Lutz) THROW: Any double or triple throw jump JUMP: Any double or triple solo jump SPIN: Any solo spin combination with only one change of foot, at least two different basic positions and a minimum of five revolutions on each foot.
