AVR400 System User Guide

telecentric illumination Optics are used to direct light from a fiber optic light guide or LED onto an object under inspection, producing a high contrast silhouette. A telecentric illumination increases edge contrast and measurement accuracy by decreasing diffuse reflections from the object. See the following figure.

zoom optics Optics which can change magnification based on a user selection. Zoom control can be manual or motorized, depending on the metrology system. Z-axis The up and down movement of the system.
