Bar J Ranch - Bull and Female Sale [2/15/26]

SALE TERMS AND CONDITIONS All cattle sell under the terms and conditions of the American Angus Association. Announcements on sale day will take precedence over information in the catalog. BULL DEVELOPMENT Bulls were weaned in early-September. They have been developed in open dirt lots with windbreaks. Bulls have been developed on moderate energy growing rations. The bulls have been grown slow and kept lean to improve breeding success and longevity. HEALTH YEARLINGS: At grass turnout time, calves received UltraBac 7. Prior to weaning, all calves received BOVI- SHIELD GOLD ONE SHOT and Vision 8 Somnus. Post weaning, calves received BOVI-SHIELD GOLD 5 and Safe-Guard oral dewormer. In early February, sale cattle were poured with Ivermectin for external and internal parasites. BRED HEIFERS: As calves they received a similar protocol as above. Recently, they were given two rounds of Guardian and a dose of Bovi-Shield GOLD FP 5 VL5. COWHERD: Receives an annual dose of BOVI-SHIELD GOLD FP 5 VL5, as well as, deworming. Guardian is given prior to calving. All cattle are on a complete mineral program. BULL GUARANTEE All bulls selling for $4500 or more will be backed up by Bar J Ranch, if they are injured during their first breeding season. Breeding season is defined by the 70-day period following the first turnout of the bulls. The customer will be given a credit (minus salvage value) in a future sale or towards a replacement bull if one is available. Injured bulls must be diagnosed by a veterinarian. Please notify us as soon as possible after the injury occurs and prior to the bull being sold for salvage. LOCATION: From Brooten, MN: 1 mile West on Co. DELIVERY AND FEED ARRANGEMENTS Bar J ranch will deliver the bulls for free to surrounding states. Receive a $100 credit if you pick your bull up on sale day or shortly thereafter. Deliveries will begin in mid-March, similar to the past. Heifers must by picked up as soon as possible after the sale. We can help with arrangements, if needed. SEMEN TESTING All bulls will have passed a breeding soundness exam before sale day. Scrotal measurements will be available the week of the sale. RETAINED SEMEN INTEREST Bar J Ranch reserves the right to retain 1/3 revenue sharing interest in any of the bulls selling. Buyer gets 100% possession, 100% salvage value, and 2/3 semen revenue interest. EPDs A full listing of the bulls and their complete EPDs can be found at barjangus.com. We will have updated EPDs available on our website and on sale day. GENOMICS Bulls were genomically profiled using the Angus GS test. Genomics are used to improve accuracy of EPDs and to get the full set of EPDs. SUPPLEMENT SHEETS Sale supplement sheets will be posted on barjangus.com a few days before the sale. They will include current weights, scrotal measurements, updated EPD’s, and other announcements.
