The w iser a man is, th e more will ing he is to receive instruction. If you have the will to work, you can usually work your own way. Don’t lose tim e worrying about the past. Work in the present and save your strength. Some work th e ir w its to the lim it to get gold down here, bu t heavenly men will tread it under th eir feet in eter nity. It used to be believed th a t Colum bus discovered America, but now some are insisting th a t America discovered Columbus. Wisdom is the principal thing, but you cannot acquire it by w ishing for it. You must work for it. The “wis dom book” is the Bible. Search the Scriptures! Solomon Is rig h t when he says, “Surely In vain the n et is spread in the sigh t of any bird.!'*;' But th e re are some “ bird s” -now who snare a good many men. There was a tim e when it was wise to keep in th e middle of th e road, bu t th a t course is unsafe now. Keep on the rig h t side— unless you should be w alking on th e left. The cross-word puzzle is no new thing, and th e divorce court is the proof, for it has been working on them for a long, long time, and “when a man m arries the, puzzle begins.” The S tatue of Liberty, a t the e n trance of New York H arbor, has a message for men.
