OUR BIBLE INSTITUTE IN HUNAN PROVINCE, CHINA (Continued from page 68) little house for an evangelist to live in. The m issionaries visited them in th e ir homes, and being convinced of the greatness of th e opportunity, soon sent an evangelist to live and work among them. B earing F ru it Mr. Gao’s conversion occurred only four years ago, since which tim e a little church has been established a t Mayuanao, and Mr. Gao and one of his b ro th ers have dedicated th e ir lives to preaching th e Gospel, and are now a t work as evan gelists in Band No. 5, and the younger brother, Gao Mei- Chin, is being supported by the boys of one of th e classes in the Bible School of th e Church of th e Open Door. When Mr. Gao had finished telling me th is wonderful story, w ith face all aglow he added :— “ALL THIS BE CAUSE OP ONE LITTLE BOOK!” Ju st th in k of it, dear friends! And th in k of it in th e ligh t of th e fac t th a t over forty thousand little books, bearing th e Gospel message of forgiveness of sin, and etern al life through faith in Christ, were given to th e pilgrim s a t Nanyoh la st month; and not only so, b u t nearly a m illion Testaments, Gospels; and Gos pel'booklets and tracts were placed in homes visited by the workers of our twelve Biola Evangelistic Bands during the past year. Surely you will join us in prayer to our omnipo te n t God th a t He will use many of these little books to do ju st as g reat a work as He did th rough the little book given four years ago to Gao Keh-Cheng.

Any Time—All The Time "B est” B o o k s The Passing of “The Word” A ROMANCE OF COLLEGE LIFE Helen Henshaw The book depicts the wholesome and typical American college girl of today, who w ith seriousness of character can have as well th e spirit of frolic. While the story purports to im part a serious message, nevertheless, th ere is a certain trend of hum or through the pages. T he col lege girl’s rhapsodies on flowers and amusements, and typical friendships th at are formed, lend to the n arrative a naturalness which is in every way pleasing and a p p ro priate. Interwoven is a love theme, by no means com plex, bu t adding a certain charm to the volume. The dialogue throughout is n atural and pleasing and th e moral element is strongly marked. A n exceptionally healthy story. Cloth, $1.50 In th e Twinkling of an Eye B y S ydney W atso n The Mark of the Beast B y S ydney W a tso n

A Missionary Romance of South America By Josephine Hope W estervelt This m issionary story is especially interesting and valu able ju st now when th ere is such a decided revival of interest in m issionary w ork in Latin America. Mrs. W estervelt has given us in this book an exceed ingly entertaining story first of all, and along w ith the telling of the story th ere is a vivid po rtray al of missionary life and labor in the. Rome controlled p riest ridden sec tions of South America. You will like the book for th e story itself but you will like it all the b etter because it gives you a tru e vision of modern m issionary w ork in th at g reat land of opportunity.
