Raleigh (NC) Alumni Chapter Celebrates its 75 th Anniversary with 75 Scholarships and Continues Legacy with New Line

T he Raleigh (NC) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. was chartered on April 6, 1948. Among notable members of the Raleigh Alumni Chapter include the 14 th Middle East- ern Province Polemarch, Alfred Perry, Sr., the 17 th Middle Eastern Province Polemarch, William Hooker, and the 23 rd and current Middle Eastern Province Polemarch Michael F. Brown.
$75,000 to provide 75 $1,000 scholarships to underrepresented students at the secondary and post-secondary levels. Historically the chapter has had the Kappa Scholars Program which began in 1987. Its purpose is to recognize minority students in Wake County High schools that have main- tained a “B” average or better during the school year. Over the years, the Kappa Charitable Trust fund, Inc. has honored over 13,000 students through the Kappa Scholars initiative.
With a history steeped in tradition, high ideals, and achieve- ment, the chapter celebrated its 75 years of training for lead- ership by investing in a 75 for 75 Campaign. In conjunction with the Kappa Charitable Trust Fund, Inc. (KCTF), over

The Raleigh (NC) Alumni Chapter also celebrated its newest initiates in 2023 including: Eyon Bryant, Davian Sebree, Rod- ney Mathes, Clarence Clayton, Gene Wright, Kenny Williams, David Byrd, Harold Mallette, William “Donnie” Adams, Shaun Braswell, Devantez Hall, Gerald Costen, Marcus Reed, Ian Solomon, Curtis Faison, Jimmy Atkins, and Tyson Fortenberry.
