Braye is survived by his wife Lydia (née Davis) Braye, to whom he was married for 69 years and with whom he had five children. He is also survived by daughters Pamela Elaine Braye and Brenda Laraine Braye; son Jamison Byron Braye. Braye is survived by grandchil- dren Ethan James Jackson (Elyse), Lydia Patricia Jackson (Hien-haw Liow), James Roderick Braye, Megan Elizabeth Braye, and their mother, Anita Roberts Braye. Pepper and Lydia happily met great-grandson August James Jackson in November of 2021. Special family/ friends include Audrey Moore, Rubye Braye, and friends.
University before returning to Atlanta and enrolling at Atlanta University, where he received his master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Education. He began his professional career as a teacher and then school principal in the City of Decatur school system. He worked at Trinity High School, College Hight Elemen- tary School, Decatur High School, and Carl G. Renfro Middle School before culminating his career by retiring as the Administrative Assistant to the School Superintendent, Chandler was a member of Saint Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, where he shined and thrived by continuing to follow his life’s work of giving back to the community. He was recognized and decorated by his community, peers, and friends by being recognized as the 1996 Man of the Year by the Men’s club. He was also recognized in 1997 for his dedication and commitment to the Georgia Dome Project from Saint Paul of the Cross. Brother Clifford D. Chandler, Jr. was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Roslyn. Additional survivors include his sister Betty and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends. He leaves a loving family to cherish his memory: his wife, Jacqueline “Jackie” Chandler, his two sons, Clif- ford R. Chandler III and Christopher D. Chandler; his two daughters-in- law, Christina Greene-Chandler, and LaDawn Glass-Chandler, and his three grandchildren, Cheyenne, Jada and Riann. Brian E. Coleman 1963-2021 Certied Public Accountant
1963 to Mary Louise Coleman and Horace Coleman Sr. On December 18, 2004, Brother Coleman married Pre- cious Marie Chavis. He attended school at Hirsch Elementary and Davis Middle School where he began his career as an avid sportsman and played multiple sports. His graduated from Sam Hous- ton High School in 1981. He attended Our Lady of the Lake University where he received his Bachelor’s and Masters in Business Administration. His professional career began at Frost Bank and led him to work for USAA where he worked as their Certified Pub- lic Accountant for over 20 years. While at USAA he also mentored the youth of the west side of San Antonio through their mentoring program. Brother Coleman had a servant’s heart which started within his community. He gave over thirty years leading the little league football team and also being the assistant basketball coach for Covenant Community Church and was also the soccer coach there as well. Being a leader in the community was also exem- plified through his love for his fraternity and upholding the ideals of purpose and achievement. Brother Coleman served as a the Presi- dent for the San Antonio Educational Foundation, and also served multiple terms as the Treasurer where he took charge overseeing their High School Scholarships. He also served as the Chapter Membership Intake Chair- person and also served on a variety of Regional Committees. Brother Cole- man loved giving back to his community and it showed. Cherishing his memories include his wife Precious; His children Brandon, Aria, and Caden; His Grandchildren Branson, and Saniya; His Father Horace Sr.; his Mother Mary Louise; and his Brother Horace Jr. Brother Coleman led an amazing life which was shown not only by the impact he had in his com- munity but by the love shared from his family and friends.

Clifford D. Chandler, Jr. (Pi 1958) entered the Chapter Invisible on June 1, 2021, at 83. Clifford Donald Chandler Jr. was the eldest child born to the
late Clifford Donald Chandler., Sr. and Francis Chandler on April 21, 1938, in Decatur, GA. Chandler was educated in the City of Decatur School System, attending Herring Street Elementary School and Trinity High School. He earned a B.S. degree from More- house College. Before attending More- house College, Chandler served for four years in the United States Army. While attending Morehouse, he worked at the post office and had the time to meet and fall in love with his loving wife and lifelong companion, Jacquelyn.
