Stuhr Museum 3133 W. Highway 34, 308-385-5316 StuhrMuseum.org
Every museum tells a story, but Stuhr Museum puts you into the story. National publications regularly list it as one of the top places to relive America's past. The 200-acre campus boasts a main building designed by architect Edward Durell Stone; a recreated railroad town with operating homes and businesses; and displays related to prairie life, Native Americans, and early farm equipment. Celebrate holidays with Stuhr Museum. Historic celebrations happen annually for the Fourth of July, Halloween, and Christmas. Its glaciarium (ice skating rink) is popular during the winter holidays.
