National 4-H Shoot June 20-26, 2026 For more than 10 years, the National 4-H Shooting Sports Championships has called Grand Island's Heartland Public Shooting Park home. Teams from more than 40 states participate in all disciplines, and some of the competitors have gone on to become Olympic medalists.
Heartland Hoops Classic brings great basketball to Grand Island every March. This tournament pits high school teams from different classes around the state against each other, culminating in a match between a top Nebraska program and a top national program.
