HRP INTENSITY 5165N 24 Lot
All bulls have a history of why they were chosen over others, and what makes one better than another. The decisions that turn out right always seem to have a better story than those that don’t, and Intensity is no different. He was chosen from the Spring 2023 Pieper Red Angus Production Sale as Lot 10 for several reasons: we needed a sure-thing, calving-ease bull to clean up heifers, but we didn’t want to give up growth or carcass merit just to be ‘heifer safe.’ As things turned out, the AI breed-up was so good that year that Intensity only sired a handful of calves in 2024, but we glimpsed a lot of potential in those few. Based on that, we pushed all the chips in, and he became a main sire used in the donor cow flushes and an AI sire to many of the heifers—and you’re looking at those results here. We couldn’t be happier with what he’s brought to our program: maternal performance while still providing plenty of growth and carcass performance to move each generation ahead.
