HanSine’s have another great set of Red Angus bulls this year. Each year, we have seen the progression of the genetics coupled with the nutrition program to develop the bulls so they are ready to go to work when they get to your pasture. HanSine’s focuses on a year-round program to ensure that calves have adequate nutrition while they are in utero, through calving, weaning, and during the development phase. AMPT mineral is the base of their mineral program, whether it is the Roughage Buster and AMPT-A CPB Citristim pellet that cows receive prior to calving or the AMPT-T low-salt, no-selenium mineral while the pairs are grazing. The AMPT mineral line contains 100% organic trace minerals such as copper, zinc, and manganese, along with RumeNext and CoMax to help increase fiber digestion efficiency. Late in the grazing season, calves were given access to Rough N Ready, which is a highly digestible fiber- based creep feed designed to complement the grazed forage. This made the weaning transition smooth, and calves started on feed easily. These bulls were developed on a high-roughage diet with corn and distillers grains, along with ADM Amino Gain. This product optimizes rumen fermentation, maximizes microbial protein, and supplies specific bypass amino acids in needed amounts and ratios to allow these cattle to lay down muscle and develop to their fullest genetic potential. By utilizing the Amino Gain technology, we are able to allow each bull to express its own genetic potential in regard to muscling and shape, as well as passing semen checks. If you have questions regarding the nutrition program from calving through sale day, please feel free to reach out to me, Bryce Baker, or anyone from the HanSine Crew. Our partnership with Raisland Red Angus continues! Glen and Karen Raisland have been in the Red Angus world for a long time,
going all the way back to Karen’s grandpa, who got his first Red Angus cow in 1966 and became the first president of the Montana Red Angus Association. Upon his retirement, Karen’s dad bought half the herd to continue the family tradition. From Karen’s first heifer—payment for calving the cows during college—to today, the passion for Red Angus endures. For the past 31 years, they’ve called St. Ignatius in Northwest Montana home, where they continue to breed and raise great Red Angus cattle. Many breed legends, like LCHMN Grand Canyon 1244G and LCC Major League A502M, have come from the Raislands. We’ve been investing in all Raisland replacement heifers we can get for their amazing maternal ability and performance. If you look back through pedigrees of the HanSine Ranch females you’ll note many Raisland prefixes, so it made perfect sense to also offer their bulls alongside ours. With similar genetics, growth potential and structure, the Raisland bulls blend right in with our own bulls. This year, Glen and Karen weaned another great set of bulls that have grown and performed great. Look for the Raisland name throughout this catalog to see just how good they are.
