Best Wishes, Octavia E. Butler”. Butler’s tenth novel was nominated for the 1995 Nebula Award; its sequel was Parable of the Talents (1998). Of the Parable series, Butler remarked that “This is a cautionary tale, although people have told me it was prophecy. All I have to say to that is: I certainly hope not” ( New Yorker ). Octavo.
