ABSENTEE BIDS Anybody wanting to bid, who cannot make the sale can place bids with Spencer Jones, Cassie Jones, or any representative of the sale staff. If you are unable to attend the sale, please watch it live on DV Auction to bid in real time. ANNOUNCEMENTS Announcements made sale day and from the auction block will take precedence over printed materials. TERMS OF SALE Cash or Check. All cattle are to be paid for during or immediately following the sale and will not be released until after settlement has been made. Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder; Bulls in the sale will have completed a breeding soundness exam prior to the sale. Bulls will be guaranteed for feet & legs and breeding soundness for 4 seasons at a prorated rate. For example: purchase a bull for $5,000 and the salvage value is $1,500. Take the initial price minus the salvage value and divide by 4. If a bull has an issue, it is imperative that the producer contact Spencer immediately to find a suitable replacement or offer credit on a future bull. Structure soundness issues will be examined by a veterinarian or Spencer himself. JFA will offer to house and feed the bulls free of charge until April 1, 2025. If a bull stays at JFA it is highly recommended for the animal to be insured by the buyer. Spencer will set up delivery at the buyer’s convenience. Jones Family Angus will retain 1/3 semen interest in every bull in the sale. FEMALES the auctioneer in charge will settle any disputes as to bids. GUARANTEE – 4 Year breeding soundness guarantee!!! Cows will sell with calves at side or guaranteed pregnant by a licensed veterinarian. Calving information will be provided for bred animals. Pairs will sell as is the day of the sale. All female breeding information will be made transparent in the catalog. DELIVERY Delivery of bulls will be free of charge in Kansas. If bulls are to remain at JFA, their delivery will be scheduled at buyer’s convenience for April 1, 2026. Any bulls kept at JFA after this date will be charged $5.00 per head per day for feed and yardage. SALE DAY CREDITS There will be $200 sale day credit per lot on animals purchased and picked up the day of the sale. WEAN CALF BUY BACK PROGRAM Jones Family Angus would be willing to buy all non-weaned heifer calves out of JFA bulls at a premium. The premium would be $5/cwt. Price will be determined by local markets. Ask Spencer about terms and premium amounts. HERD HEALTH Calves - 2 months of age – Inforce Internasal, Ultrabac 8, Cydectin wormer Preweaning (2-3 weeks prior to weaning - All calves are given Pyramid 5 w/Presponse Weaning – Calves are weighed, revaccinated with Pyramid 5, Ultrabac 7, poured Ivermectin Semen Check - Bulls are semen checked, poured Ivermectin, and boosted with Pyramid 5 Cows Annually pre-breeding shots are given with Pregguard 10, and poured with Cydectin Pregnancy Check - Cows are given a Ultrabac 8, and wormed with Ivermectin
