The Future is Green project is funded by the Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF) and supports industry sectors that include: • Clean Energy and Power. Supporting skills demands to help us benefit further from our wave, wind and solar resources. • Visitor Economy. Improving green tourism and sustainable food supply. • Agri-food and Natural Resources. Helping to decarbonise agriculture and support nature restoration. • Construction. Decarbonising our homes and other buildings with retrofit and installation of heat pumps and hydrogen boilers. • Transport. Supporting the maintenance and repair of low and zero emission vehicles.

Beau Carlton-Barnes, studying Level 3 Light Vehicle Repair and Maintenance at the Camborne campus of Cornwall College and employed by Dan CB Tyres, said: “This course has taught me how to be more environmentally conscious, sustainable and drive a positive change in my daily choices and work practices. I’m really excited to take that knowledge back to the industry and do my part in creating a greener future.”
