Graduates celebrate university success

Top performing college for apprenticeships

At the other end of the educational spectrum, the 2023 Autumn term saw us gather at a grand ceremony in Truro Cathedral to celebrate graduates from university- level courses across our campuses. Honouring the achievements of our graduates is always a highlight.

We’re proud to say that our apprenticeship provision continued to go from strength-to-strength this year, as TCCG was named the top-performing college for apprenticeships in the South West. We have outperformed our competitors in the region, showcasing our commitment to providing high-quality apprenticeship programmes and ensuring the success of our learners.

This year we celebrated the success of close to 250 graduates from across our institutions.

In the last five years, we’ve worked with over 2,700 apprenticeship employers. Leading the way with postgraduate ecology apprenticeship

Apprenticeships are not just for school leavers. We’re proving that point through our Eden Project University Centre, which has become the hub for the UK’s first-ever cohort of ecological postgraduate degree apprentices. This ground-breaking course, a significant milestone for environmental education, is just one of the higher education programmes offered as a partnership between TCCG and the Eden Project. As a response to the critical shortage of trained ecologists highlighted by a recent committee of MPs, this initiative aligns with the government’s plans for green jobs.

In the last five years, we’ve had over 5,400 people start their apprenticeship with us.
