Meet Leanne , who completed the Welding Skills Bootcamp
Leanne, from Hayle, completed the Welding and Fabrication Skills Bootcamp at Truro and Penwith College. As a teenager, she struggled with traditional education and has since worked various jobs. Her journey reflects a determination to acquire new skills and broaden her horizons after facing difficulties in her earlier educational experiences. Recently she began to look for a new challenge, she said “I wanted a change of direction and the bootcamp was a great way to learn a set of new skills in a supportive environment.” “I think the bootcamps are a great idea and I like the fact I had the opportunity to go on a fully funded course to learn something new. We’re really lucky to have this available to us.” Leanne’s experience with the Welding Bootcamp showcases the importance of alternative educational pathways that focus on practical skills and real-world applications.
