EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The Investment Property Office is responsible for the development and operation of a mixed portfolio of property assets with the aim of delivering material financial benefit to the College and its Endowment. The portfolio includes: Endowment Property, Commercial Lettings (e.g. I-HUB), postgraduate student accommodation (GradPad), Key Worker Accommodation (Imperial Living) and Build To Rent assets. The Operations Sales, Marketing & Brand Development Manager is a key support in the operational management of a mixed portfolio of property assets, ensuring the standards of operation meet the requirements of the Investment Property portfolio (residential, PBSA, commercial lettings). The postholder will hold a specialist knowledge in Sales and Marketing of property management, contributing to the overall expertise of the team which will be responsible for a broad group of properties with varying operational and commercial requirements.
This role is responsible for supporting the management of multiple externally provided services and should appropriately specify, procure, review and manage external service providers. The role is complex in being required to undertake and manage activities that demand a specialised knowledge and experience of cross-sector property, the processes and procedures involved in its commercial professional practice.

Job Description
The role is complex in being required to undertake and manage activities that demand a specialised knowledge and experience of cross-sector property, the processes and procedures involved in its commercial professional practice. Key Responsibilities: Sales, Marketing & Brand Development (50%) • To act as the lead contact for retained sector and legal specialists during client lease negotiations, to manage all aspects of the tenant relationship; coordinate tenant lease documents, distributing contractual agreements for signature and maintaining appropriate records. • Resolving tenant disputes or complaints, when necessary • To set quality standards across the full range of services to be provided and ensure that they are adhered to • To have responsibility for ensuring that all aspects of commercial relationships are responsive and well managed, establishing and responding to systematic client and user feedback. • To ensure that the Operations Director is provided with clear, accurate and informative proposals and data in order to ensure effective decision making • To manage and keep up to date the websites for ThinkSpace and GradPad but develop a cohesive strategy for their onward development, content and management • To manage the development of appropriate methods and events to engage with and cultivate effective relationships with representatives from external companies • Instructing and overseeing content, production and distribution of all marketing and publicity materials for the operational property portfolio • Liaise closely with Imperial’s internal Communications team to manage the release of potentially sensitive information to media outlets and the College’s diverse community of stakeholders, including keyworkers • Responsibility for the management of operational properties’ contracts with third party providers of sales, marketing management services. • Liaising with nominated property agents to effectively optimise occupancy and efficiency for all properties and hold the agents to account for their performance • Keep up to date with new and appropriate legislation • Undertake and attend all relevant internal and external seminars and attend such courses and seminars to maintain sector understanding and CPD

Experience Essential • Demonstrable Sales & Marketing experience within a residential and/or commercial context • Demonstrable experience of working within a complex stakeholder environment • Demonstrable experience of Lease negotiation and preparation • Proven experience of engagement with tenants, landlords, public bodies and communities Desirable • Demonstrable Sales & Marketing experience following mobilisation and transition of construction projects at handover stage. Knowledge Essential • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory issues relating to the leasing of Residential and Commercial property and the associated leasing contracts. Anticipated starting salary level for this appointment ranges from £48,607 to £58,528 per annum.
