2024 ANNUAL REPORT
Dear friends,
Thanks to you, and the past year at Trinity Park Conservancy, the tangible work to deliver Harold Simmons Park is under way. No longer are we planning and dreaming -- we are doing ! We celebrated this momentous shift with "Demo Day," during which our general contractor began clearing the site of the West Overlook for Harold Simmons Park. Civic leaders and community members alike cheered as the first building fell to mark our giant leap forward. We now move forward with actionable plans and clear deliverables to build a brighter future for Dallas. To make this Park happen, to bring our city together, and to create a more vibrant future for Dallas, we need help of every kind from every corner of our city. We need you! Please join us this year as we activate the river, gather insight, and rally supporters to keep shaping this once-in-a-generation project.
With gratitude,
Deedie Rose Chair, Board of Directors

2024 ANNUAL REPORT
Dear friends,
As we look back on 2024, one moment stands out: Demo Day --a celebration of the next chapter for Harold Simmons Park. It was inspiring to see so many come together--city officials, neighbors, local ecologists, artists, and over 700 attendees--commemorating this exciting step forward. The reception at the "Shed" showcased the park's design, planting plans, and history, reflecting the deep connection between this project and our community. In 2024, we began our pursuit of infrastructure funding in earnest to enhance the park's connectivity and bridge the divide between Dallas' two halves, separated by the Trinity River. And through four major community events--like the Solar Eclipse viewing party, Job Fair, Home Preservation Workshops, and Halloween Festival--we celebrated the people who will make this park a true community asset. Harold Simmons Park is set to welcome 3-5 million visitors annually, creating a space for all of Dallas to enjoy. As we break ground in 2025, we invite you to be part of this transformative project--whether through events, volunteering, or spreading the word. Together, we'll build a space that connects us all to the Trinity River and to one another.
With gratitude,
Tony Moore President & Chief Executive Officer

GREAT CITIES ARE ENHANCED BY GREAT PARKS
PARK IMPACT Advanced designs in 2024 allowed us to revisit our impact study with third-party experts' with up-to-date specifics on Park elements and scope, we found that:
The West Overlook alone will absorb 22 million gallons of stormwater, significantly reduce heat island impact, and remove thousands of pounds of particulate matter from the air.
The Park will generate $7B in its first 30 years, in an area of marked underinvestment and underdevelopment.
Thanks to the Park, 10,000-20,000 people will benefit from reduced chronic disease because of increased access to recreation opportunities. This is the equivalent of 10% of Dallas ISD students growing up to be healthier adults thanks to Harold Simmons Park.
The Park will welcome 3 million people per year. For reference, other major assets/destinations garner about 1 million visitors per year. The opportunity to share cultural resources, STEM education, healthy lifestyle exposure, conservation messaging, and more will be tripled by this Park.
