not make any political contributions whether in cash or kind. As such, you are not permitted to engage in any political activities on behalf of the ownership or the resort.

No Host or immediate family member may give or accept a gift or gifts from any single Business Partner, customer, contractor, vendor or supplier that have an individual or aggregate annual value greater than $ 200 unless the Host has obtained the approval of his or her immediate supervisor. Hosts are responsible for retaining evidence (e g email, memo, or note to file) of the supervisory approval. Managers who hold financial accountability for specific business units and operations retain the authority to require their subordinates to comply with stricter supervisory documentation, disclosure, and approval procedures with respect to gifts over 200 value in keeping with the overall purpose of this policy. A “gift” includes anything of value whether it is tangible or intangible, including but not limited to consumer goods, services, discounts, use of recreational facilities, trips, tickets to sporting or theatrical events (other than in connection with permissible entertainment, as further described below), or memberships. No exception to this dollar limit is permitted for gifts of consumables or “perishable” without supervisory approval as provided in this policy. Thus, gifts that include gourmet food, wine or high value “gift baskets” are subject to the same limits imposed on all other gifts by this policy.

Gifts that consist of the offer of discounted or free services or goods from a vendor to a Host who is responsible for the procurement for Marriott of the same services or goods from such vendor, could constitute kickbacks and are prohibited under MIP 01 “Ethical Conduct”. Gifts of nominal value which are usual and customary for the business, not excessive in frequency, and within regular standards for the hospitality industry (e g items containing corporate advertising such as pens, coffee mugs, calendars, logoed sportswear, and portfolios) are not subject to supervisory review.

SMOKING

Smoking for hosts is allowed only in designated Smoking areas in the Host Village. Disobeying this rule will result in Progressive Discipline.

ACCEPTANCE OF GIFTS & TIPPING

The general rule is that it is improper for a Hosts to receive any gift from an existing or prospective guest or supplier. The general rule may, however, be relaxed in the case of small invaluable gifts e g diaries, pens, etc. If in doubt you shall consult the immediate superior. Gratuities and tips should not be expected. At no time during their stay in the Resort must a guest feel any obligation or hint that they are expected to leave a tip. If a guest wishes to reward, you may of course accept it graciously. Good hospitality and making our guests feel relaxed and comfortable must remain the first priority at all times.

PACKAGE PASSES

Any package leaving the Resort is subject to inspection by the Loss Prevention Team. If you leave the Resort with a package, you will first obtain a package pass from the immediate superior. Back Pack, purses and other handbags may be inspected by the loss Prevention Officer on duty or any person appointed by the Human Resources Manager/Director at your arrival or departure from the Resort.
