1.1 KEY NOTION: FAIRNESS Any disciplinary action should be seen fair to all concerned. Fairness implies that action taken will be Impartial and objective, Proportional to the extent and seriousness of the deviation and Progressive that is, from less severe to more severe. 1.2 PROGRESSIVE DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURE The following procedure has been designed to be in line with the above philosophy and criteria:

Verbal Warning A Verbal Warning will be issued for violation of a disciplinary code in the Minor level for the first time. A discussion takes place between the manager and the host where he/she will be informed of the misconduct/misbehavior, a verbal warning issued, and the host advised not to repeat the offence. The warning is valid for 6 months and kept in the host file. 1st Written Warning A Written Warning will be issued to an host in any one of the following situations: • Violated a new or similar disciplinary code in the Minor level for the second time • Violated a disciplinary code in the Major level for the first time A discussion takes place between the manager and the host where he/she will be informed of the seriousness of the misconduct/ misbehavior and a written warning will be issued. The warning is valid for 12 months and kept in the host file. 2nd Written Warning A second Written Warning will be issued to a host in any one of the following situations:

i. Counseling (documented) ii. Documented verbal warning iii. First written warning iv. Second written warning v. Final warning vi. Termination of service/dismissal

vii. If the misconduct is grievous involving workplace harassment, misappropriation, illegal act, and if it is proved the Hosts could be directly terminated, the above process will not apply.

1.3 DOCUMENTED WARNINGS Counseling Session / File Note

A file note is issued to document a counseling session between the Manager and host for a minor incident that does not warrant the commencement of the disciplinary process. The file note is kept on the host’s file as a record of the counseling session.
