Termination Termination is the last and final step in progressive disciplinary actions and can be affected with or without a Suspension Notice. Termination will be determined in any one of the following situations:
• Violated a new or similar disciplinary code in the Major level for the second time • Violated a disciplinary code in the serious level for the first time • Violated a disciplinary code in the Minor level for the third time A discussion takes place between the manager and the host where he/she will be informed of the seriousness of the misconduct/ misbehavior and a written warning will be issued. The warning is valid for 12 months and kept in the host file. Final Warning A Final Warning will be issued in any one of the following situations: • Violated a new or similar disciplinary code in the serious level for the second time. Any further violation of a disciplinary code, regardless of the levels and severity, within the validity period the Company can terminate the host’s employment contract immediately. • Violated a new or similar disciplinary code in the Major level for the third time • Violated a disciplinary code in the Minor level repeatedly A discussion takes place between Human Resources, the manager, and the host where he/she will be informed of the seriousness of the misconduct/ misbehavior and a final warning will be issued. The warning is valid for 12 months and kept in the host’s file.
• Violated a disciplinary code in the Very Serious level • Exceeded any of the violations sanctioned in the Final Warning
A Disciplinary Action Form (DAF) will be completed for the host to acknowledge/sign.
1.4 REFUSAL TO SIGN A DOCUMENTED WARNING Refusal to accept/sign the disciplinary action does not make it invalid because a supervisor/manager will be called in to witness the refusal to accept/sign. 1.5 FURTHER CLARIFICATIONS REQUIREMENT In the event that the Director Human Resources requires further clarifications on any of these (documented) situations, the Host will be invited to attend a disciplinary meeting together with his/ her Department Head, during which he/she will be given the opportunity to be accompanied by a senior member of choice (as well as for translation purposes) so as to state, explain or defend his/her case.
