CIRCUMSTANCES WHERE EMPLOYMENT CAN BE TERMINATED WITHOUT NOTICE

The Management of The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort reserves the rights to automatically terminate your employment without giving the minimum notice as stated above, in the following instances: • At the end of term specified in my Contract of Employment if it is for a Definite Period or for a Definite Work. • In the event you fail to successfully complete the probation period. • The results of the medical examination conducted by a medical practitioner agreed by the Resort or its designated insurance agent is unsatisfactory. • In the event your work permit, if required, is not approved or is cancelled by the government for whatever reason. • In the event you have reached the mandatory retirement age or select early retirement. The Management of The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli reserves the right to terminate an employment if the work ethics of the Host is deemed unacceptable and further continuation of employment

• being in material breach of fiduciary duty to the Resort through the misappropriation of or failure to properly account for funds and property; or • failing or neglecting to any material extent competently to discharge my duties hereunder or willful refusal without proper legal cause to materially perform, or gross negligence in performing my duties and responsibilities or • being guilty of serious misconduct or behavior calculated or likely to affect prejudicially the interests of the Resort or likely to negatively affect the reputation of the Hotel or be guilty of a convicted criminal offence or any act of bankruptcy or arrangement or composition with your creditors.

RETIREMENT

The retirement age is 65 years of age. The Host who have reached the retirement age but are re-employed on permanent contract basis shall be entitled to the same benefits granted to permanent Hosts.
