SALARY
SERVICE CHARGE
The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort provides a fair and competitive remuneration package to all Hosts. Your salary will be paid in arrears and credited to your bank account no later than the 10th calendar day of each calendar month, or the next business day where the 10th day of a particular month should fall on a weekend or a Public Holiday. HR Department will assist you in opening a local bank account in Male. Expatriate Host can choose to get their salary deposited in their foreign bank account, provided they agree to borne the bank transfer charges for every transfer.
Service charge is paid monthly to all eligible Hosts according to the monthly collection amount and as per Maldivian Employment Act. The amount available for distribution, will be divided equally among the hosts. It is applicable during approved sick leave, days off and authorized vacation. However, not applicable to unauthorized absence, no pay leave or during the period of suspension, except in the event themisconduct is not established.
WAGE DEDUCTIONS
Deductions may be made from your salary, or any other sums due to you from the Company, to recover any amounts that are outstanding either during your employment or from your final pay or payment for goods sold to you. You will reimburse the hotel directly for any loss of property or non-return of uniform. If you receive an underpayment or overpayment, you must alert HR to this fact immediately. In the case of overpayments, the Company reserves the right to either make the appropriate deductions from the payment of future wages or other payments due to you and/or require immediate repayment of the sum owed.
PAY SLIP ERRORS
Hosts will receive monthly Pay Slip and it is the duty of the Host to report to immediate supervisor and HR Department any errors. HR will correct any errors and adjustment will be made in the next payroll.
