shall be considered, provided that the respective Department Head is notified and kept informed of his/her return along with supporting medical documents.
You are entitled for 30 days’ annual leave upon completion of twelve 12 calendar months’ continuous service with the Resort. You may take your earned annual leave with the pending Days- in-Lieu. Resort shall decide the date of commencement of leave after consultation with you. Such commencement date shall fall no later than 12 months from the expiry of the year in which the leave was acquired. Host must do vacation plan in a way that does not affect the operational commitments. Calendar year refers to 1st January to 31st December. Your entitlement for Annual Leave will be calculated on a pro rata basis until the end of the current calendar year. If you start employment midway in the year, your Annual Leave will be calculated on a pro rata basis until 31st December. The balance Annual Leave, which has not been taken in the calendar year, can be carried over into the following calendar year up to 6 months with approval of Human Resources. In no circumstances except in cases of separation, can you claim cash payment in lieu of the unused part of my Annual Leave. For management position only – you may be granted leave on a prorated basis at the discretion of the Executive Committee and Human Resources Director. When a Host is on annual leave and falls sick, the annual leave will take precedent and not the sick leave. However, when the annual leave has expired and the Host is taken ill, sick leave
ANNUAL LEAVE TICKET
Annual Ticket as per the contract will be paid by the resort only after completion of min. of 12 months. If the Hosts has availed the annual leave before the completion of 12 months, the Hosts will have to bear the travel charges and can claim the ticket after completion of 12 months. The Hosts must submit the air ticket and boarding pass along with claim form. Annual Ticket will not be carried forward for the next year and must be used within 12 months of entitlement for the particular ticket. Tickets are to be requested by Departments with Leave requests in HR System. All ticket request needs to be done in advance; Domestic flights 14 days and International flight requests 30 days in advance.
PUBLIC HOLIDAYS
Hosts are granted the following Gazetted Public Holidays, National Day, Day of Commemoration of the Birth of Prophet Mohamed, Day of Commemoration of Islam in Maldives, Independence Day, First Day of Ramazan, Day of Eid ul Fitr Victory Day, Republic Day, Hajj Day and Day of Eid ul Ad’ha.
