sex based sketches or writing sex based letters, sexual exposure. • Psychological harassment e.g. repeated unwanted social invitations, relentless proposals for dates or physical intimacy. • Physical harassment e.g. inappropriate touching, patting, pinching, stroking, brushing up against the body, hugging, kissing, fondling, sexual assault. No supervisor may state or otherwise imply that the granting or refusal to grant sexual favors will in any way affect the creation, continuance, or termination of the employment relationship, or the conditions under which the Hosts works. Sexual harassment is a form of misconduct and thus any disciplinary action against the accused Hosts should be preceded by a proper domestic inquiry. To defer false and fabricated accusation against any person, disciplinary penalties will be made against those who make such false and fabricated accusations VERBAL HARASSMENT The resort specifically re affirms that no Hosts may engage in conduct or make comments to any Hosts that tend to create a hostile environment. All Hosts are expected to discourage harassment and to report to the Human Resources Manager/Director any incident that, in the Hosts member’s opinion, constitutes harassment. If you feel that you are the subject of such behavior, you must bring the situation to the attention of the Human Resources Manager/Director immediately. The reporting and investigating of any complaint will be carried out in as discreet and confidential a manner as possible.
Harassment, intimidation or coercion of any kind and based on any criteria is contrary to the philosophy and principles of the resort and will not be tolerated or condoned. All Hosts are expected to set an appropriate example by behaving in a professional manner so that they avoid giving cause for allegations for the below. CULTURAL HARASSMENT Our guest and Hosts come from every part of the world. Their languages, religious beliefs, cultures and traditions are varied and may not be familiar to each of us. Each Host will respect the customs and traditions of our guests and Hosts in all circumstances, except where doing so would either be a breach of law. If a Hosts feel, at any time, that the comments or actions of management, guests or Hosts are offensive, he/she should immediately talk to the Human Resources Manager/Director. SEXUAL HARASSMENT Sexual harassment encompasses various conducts of sexual nature that can manifest themselves in five possible forms, namely: • Verbal harassment e.g. offensive or suggestive remarks, comments, jokes, jesting, kidding, sounds, questioning. • Non-verbal/ gestureharassment e.g. leeringor oglingwith suggestive overtones, licking lips or holding or eating food provocatively, hand signal or sign language denoting sexual activity, persistent flirting. • Visual harassment: e.g. showing pornographic materials, drawing
