Tracy met Mike Coggins in 2003 and from that moment they become fast friends and then business partners in the registered seedstock Brangus program at Blackwater Cattle Company near Lake Park, Georgia. During their years working together they grew Blackwater Cattle Company into one of the Top 100 Seedstock programs in the United States annually marketing over 300 Brangus and Hereford bulls. The registered program sold to ACE in 2021 and today Tracy and Cindy continue to operate as Blackwater Ranch in Fredericksburg, Texas.
Now, Blackwater Ranch carries on that same elite tradition of crafting outstanding Brangus and Ultrablack cattle through basically 100% embryo transfer production. The BWR genetics continue to be well documented for Tracy’s ability to build leading edge and highly demanded cattle with unparalleled rank values in antagonistic traits.
