Day 1: Hanoi Your Vietnam adventure begins with a welcome meeting at 18:00; followed by a group dinner at KOTO restaurant. Day 2: Halong Bay Travel by minibus to Halong Bay and board a boat to cruise the bay; explore Surprise Cave and enjoy a swim from Ti Top Island Beach. Spend the evening aboard beneath the night sky with your fellow travellers. Day 3: Hanoi – Overnight Train Return by boat to Halong Bay and take the bus back to Hanoi. Enjoy free time until early evening; maybe grab a bowl of pho in town or chill by Hoan Kiem Lake until you take an overnight train to Hue. Day 4: Hue Arrive in Hue and transfer to the hotel. Enjoy free time this morning. Join the group to visit the Imperial Citadel; a vast city-within-a-city with the remains of temples, the state house, and emperor’s palace. Day 5: Hue See Hue like a local – on back of a motorbike! Stop at Thanh Toan’s covered bridge and local market, Thien Mu Pagoda, and Thích Quang Duc’s car. Lunch is a vegetarian feast in a nunnery. Day 7: Hoi An Free time to explore Hoi An’s cobbled streets, markets, Chinese shop houses, and art galleries. Hire a bike and cycle to Cua Dai Beach; visit a local tailor to get a new outfit; or take a cookery class. Day 8: Ho Chi Minh City This morning fly to Ho Chi Minh City. A sightseeing bus tour around the city takes in Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, and Opera House; before stopping at War Remnants Museum. Day 9: Mekong Delta to Ho Chi Minh City Board a private boat to Ben Tre; visit the coconut gardens and a local home and paddle in sampans. Enjoy a tuk-tuk tour and regional dishes at lunch. Cruise to Ben Tre’s boat pier and return by bus to Ho Chi Minh City. This evening, perhaps join your fellow travellers and leader for a final meal. Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City to UK Check out of your hotel and fly back to the UK.
