Day 1: UK to Brig Fly to Switzerland and transfer to the Rhone Valley town of Brig. You’ll stay at either the Hotel Alex or the Hotel Victoria, dependent on your departure date. Day 2: Zermatt and the Matterhorn Head to Zermatt at the base of the Matterhorn via forests, viaducts, mountain streams and waterfalls. Zermatt boasts Swiss chalets, hotels, and farm huts with cable cars and footpaths weaving up to the mountain top. Optional Ride the cog railway to Gornergrat or take a horse- drawn carriage ride. Day 3: Lake Maggiore Travel over the Simplon Pass to Italy’s Lake Maggiore and Stresa. Wander the cobbled, shop-lined streets and sip coffee at the main square. Board the private launch to cruise across Lake; passing the Borromean Islands en-route to Verbania. Head to Locarno and embark Centovalli Railway to Domodossola; where the coach awaits for your return journey. Day 4: Montreux Journey to Montreux on the shores of Lake Geneva for a full day at leisure. Perhaps take a lunch paddle-steamer cruise, ride the cog-wheel railway up Rochers de Naye,

Day 6: Klosters You’ll have access via cable cars and chair lifts to the surrounding peaks and the alpine wonderland linked by walks. Klosters’ homely chalet-restaurants serve local specialities on their sunlit terraces. Day 7: The Bernina Express Ride the famous Bernina Express to Tirano in Italy. The train travels through spirals, loops, 55 tunnels, and 196 bridges, past St Moritz, to the summit at Ospizio Bernina station. Soak up the vistas of snow-clad peaks and ice-cold glacial lakes, before it winds down to Tirano. You’ll have free time before boarding the coach back to Klosters via Upper Engadine Valley and the Fluela Pass. Day 8: Zurich to UK You’ll be transferred to Zurich airport for your return flight home.
