Day 8: Travel to Kanazawa Travel by road to Kanazawa; visit Kenrokuen Garden and Kanazawa 21st-century Museum of Contemporary Art. Day 9: Washi Paper Making Stop at Nomura Samurai House and Garden before leaving Kanazawa. Visit Gokayama for lunch and a washi paper making workshop. Explore Shirakawago’s Wada Experience Miyagawa morning market, Festival Floats Museum, Kusakabe Folk Crafts Museum, Takayama Jinya, and Kamisannomachi Street. Day 11: Travel to Nagano Travel to Matsumoto - visit Matsumoto Castle, a miso house to learn about this Japanese seasoning, and a wasabi farm - before arriving in Nagano. Day 12: See the Snow Monkeys Travel into the Japanese Alps to see the Japanese macaques bathe and play in Jigokudani Monkey Park’s hot spring pool. Continue to Zenkoji Buddhist temple. Day 13: Mount Fuji Travel to the Fuji Five Lakes area and ascend by road to the 5th station and view the dyed silk creations at Itchiku Kubota Art Museum. Day 14: Explore Hakone House en-route to Takayama. Day 10: Explore Takayama Today begins with a cruise on Lake Ashi. Soar high on the Hakone Ropeway over Owakudani Valley, discover the natural hot springs of Mount Hakone, and travel to Tokyo. Day 15: Discover Tokyo Start your Tokyo explorations at Imperial Palace East Garden, visit Meiji Shrine, and stop by Shibuya Crossing. Day 16: Tokyo Explore Asakusa district and Sensoji Buddhist temple; ascend to Skytree’s observation deck; and enjoy lunch in a local restaurant. Take an evening dinner cruise aboard a traditional yakata boat. Day 17: Tokyo to UK Your tour comes to an end today when you fly home to the UK.

Day 1 and 2: UK to Osaka Fly overnight to Osaka. The rest of the day is at leisure to soak up the local culture. Day 3: Discover Nara Spend the morning in Nara. Day 4: Himeji Castle Depart Osaka for Hiroshima; stopping en route to see Himeji Castle and Koko-en garden. Day 5: Explore Hiroshima Explore Hiroshima; visit Peace Memorial Park and Museum and cross to Miyajima island by ferry to enjoy Itsukushima Shrine and free time.
