Day 1: UK to Spain Fly into Malaga; board the coach transfer into the Andalusian hills and your hotel base in Antequera. Rest and relax in the hotel and perhaps enjoy a first dinner in one of the town’s wide range of restaurants, traditional tapas bars, and cafés. Day 2: Seville Today’s included excursion takes you to historic Seville with its tree-lined streets and squares, great buildings, beautiful parks, grand boulevards, and old quarters. Wander to the ornate, fountain-fronted Plaza de España, the Gothic-style Cathedral with its 300ft-high Giralda Tower and tomb of Christopher Columbus; Plaza de Toros, the Moorish Alcazar, and the Juderia (Jewish Quarter). Day 3: Cordoba Spend today relaxing and exploring Antequera’s Moorish fortress and La Peña de Los Enamorados (Lovers’ Leap). Optional: Excursion to Cordoba - discover the Mezquita at its heart, the former mosque now a Catholic cathedral, and the surrounding narrow lanes and corridors of the ancient Juderia. After your guided tour of the Mezquita, you’ll have the chance to explore the city under your own steam before returning to Antequera in the evening.

Set atop three hills, this former Moorish capital boasts views to the snow-capped Sierra Nevada. Take a sightseeing tour of the city before visiting the gardens of the Alhambra, one of the world’s finest Moorish palaces. Explore the ancient Alcazaba citadel, the Generalife royal retreat in the heart of the complex, and the beautiful formal gardens. This evening, you’ll return to Antequera after a thrilling day. Day 6: At leisure Enjoy today at leisure in Antequera. Perhaps visit Torcal de Antequera preserve’s limestone formations, the Dolmens burial chambers, climb up to Plaza Espiritu Santo, or simply feast on tapas on Plaza Portichuelo.
