We’re taking fun to the parks, events and even your workplace. Mobile recreation programs make it even easier to bring fun and play to people of all ages and any location. The Rec + Roll Van is outfitted with yard games, balls, hula hoops, disc golf, art and fitness supplies, music and a PA system with microphones. Look for the Rec + Roll Van in your neighborhood. A calendar of scheduled appearances is available at parks.snco.us. SCP+R can also bring the van to your work for adult recess, staff team building for retreats or fitness programs. This is a great way to add an exciting fitness component to your next work event. Play is for all ages. Professional staff - The van is staffed with knowledgeable and engaging professionals who facilitate and guide recreational activities and community interactions. Have the Rec + Roll van show up for birthday parties, family events, work functions, or community events. Fee: $85 an hour with a two-hour minimum. Staff and equipment included. Call 785- 251-6800. Are you looking for ways to get involved in the community? Consider volunteering for Shawnee County Parks + Recreation! SCP+R has a variety of opportunities for volunteers; ranging from working in our gardens and helping at events to coaching youth sports teams and giving guided tours. We even have opportunities for you to adopt your very own park/trail or to create your own projects based on your passions/the needs that you see in the community!
