When CRG was acquired by Thermo Fisher, I had been slowly working on revitalizing our Richmond, VA Women’s Empowerment Network Chapter, one that I had help to start in 2019 and which had seen its share of engagement ups and downs. With the acquisition, I was introduced to Thermo Fisher Scientific’s WEBRG and jumped at the chance to apply for the open co-lead spot for the Americas region. Here, I found a group of colleagues as passionate and engaged as I was, willing to devote their time and energy to their YAY job within WE-BRG. Looking back at the last two years (I can’t believe it’s been two years!), I have had the honor and privilege of meeting and collaborating with so many amazing folks in WE-BRG. I have learned how to be a better ally to our colleagues across BRGs, continued to advocate for women in the workplace, and seen the brilliance of our chapter members in their monthly spotlights and at our events and summits. I want to thank everyone for welcoming me to the Thermo WE-BRG family, even when our systems didn’t. And it’s not good-bye, but see you soon as I move on to WE-BRG Global Co-Lead. A message from Amy...

Amy Lavelle has been co-lead of our Americas team for 2 years now. It is her time to move on to her next WEBRG chapter as one of our Global WEBRG Leads. Amy's leadership, time and efforts have been a gift to WEBRG Americas and we are excited to see all that you will do with Global WEBRG!
