Make your holiday entertaining easier by using your Instant Pot. This program will demonstrate recipes. Air Fryer Virtual Cooking: Appetizers Tuesday, December 7 at 7 pm Explore appetizers made with the air fryer that can enhance your holiday table. Virtual Mocktails Wednesday, December 15 at 6:30 pm Use basic ingredients from around your kitchen to make tasty holiday mocktails. Suggested ingredient list will be sent to participants a few days before the program. Simplify Weekly Meal Planning Tuesday, January 18 at 7 pm Vanessa Young, from the Thirsty Radish, will teach you tips, strategies and recipes for delicious weekly meals. Introduction to Vitamix Thursday, February 24 at 2 pm This program explores simple and fun uses for the Vitamix including tips, tricks and recipe sharing.

WINTER HOLIDAY EVENTS

• Register for the program at aacpl.net/events . • Pick up your mystery ingredient and library materials (two random ingredient-related books or movies) from either the Annapolis or Eastport- Annapolis Neck libraries between January 26 and February 2. • Prepare a recipe with the ingredient at home and solve the materials mystery: Can you identify how the library materials and the ingredient are connected? It might not be so easy! • Join in via Zoom on February 9 to share your dish and experiences with other home chefs.

There will be a few holiday surprises! R Winter Solstice Family Storytime Friday, December 17 at 10:30 am Create a freestanding diorama, no larger than 16x16”, inspired by your favorite winter book. Dioramas can be dropped off at the Busch Annapolis Library, with completed entry forms, starting Tuesday, January 18. Entries must be received by Saturday, January 22 at 4:30 pm . Prizes will be awarded. R Celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Tiger! Monday, January 31 at 10:30 am Celebrate winter with this special storytime. Winter Literary-Themed Diorama Contest Tuesday, January 18 at 10 am Children ages three to five build early literacy skills through lunar new year stories, songs, activities and more!

Virtual scavenger hunts challenge players to find specified items according to the answer to a puzzle or riddle. You’ll have 30 seconds to answer the riddle and retrieve the item before any other team. New Year’s Origami! Tuesday, January 4 at 4:30 pm Virtual Winter Scavenger Hunt Tuesday, December 21 at 5:30 pm Join us to practice different origami shapes in real time and learn how the New Year is celebrated in Japan!
