CALIPSO, an acronym for “Come And Live In Port Stanley, Ontario”, served as a heartfelt invitation to step into the vibrant spirit of our mari- time community. We successfully encouraged festival attendees into the village’s wonderful shops and eateries as participants followed clues and searched for hidden prizes. Businesses reported much higher than aver- age sales! Spectators lined the harbour to watch as Calipso Boat Parade’s beautifully decorated vessels cruised past in a fun-loving floating procession. Visitors and locals enjoyed half hour boat tours of the coast. Festival favourite, Captain Thom Bedlam thrilled all with his Pirate Magic Show. Families flooded to Little Beach to explore Mermaid Cove, where children were enchanted by coastal storytelling and mythological meet-and-greets. This event is only possible because of the overwhelming generosity of our local business sponsors and municipal partners. We extend our deepest gratitude to Mayor Andrew Sloan, Deputy Mayor Todd Noble and Delany Leitch who all were so supportive; to BIA and Elgin County for their generous
