personal friend but tremendous advocate for us at Plumbing & Heating Magazine. She helped and guided us in so many ways, I cannot express enough our gratitude and admiration for one of the most amazing people in our trade. We felt the best way in keeping her memory at the forefront of the industry for years to come is to create the Catherine Patterson Award which will be launched in Spring 2021 at the NI Plumbing Industry Awards. This award will be presented to an up-and- coming Gas Installer who has just started out their career and shows great promise in character and with exemplary workmanship. We are actively looking for nominations as I write, so if you know someone who fits the criteria, please get in touch.”
C ovid-19 has wreaked havoc with award ceremonies this year, but we are determined to recognise the achievements of the top plumbing and heating contractors, consultants, suppliers, people, products and projects across Ireland, no matter what. The efforts and achievements of members of the plumbing and heating industry during this extraordinary year of global pandemic deserve to be celebrated and honoured now more than ever. So, for the first time, Northern Ireland’s Plumbing & Heating Awards 2021, sponsored by FlogasNI, will be moving online – and we need your help. If your company or someone you know has excelled in the industry over the past two years, please get involved and enter them for the awards. The Virtual Awards Ceremony will be held in Spring 2021. The awards will be broadcast
across Ireland’s Plumbing & Heating YouTube and social media channels to over 16,200 followers and presented by award-winning TV presenter and journalist, Adrian Logan. As usual the awards are judged by an independent panel of respected industry experts who have unrivalled experience and industry knowledge. They will have a difficult task of selecting winners from the various categories but are delighted to deliver presentations at a time when the industry is crying out for positivity as we virtually celebrate all those who have made such a difference to the industry over the past two years.
