Age-Specific Milestones:

A snapshot of several of the many milestones your Prepper should reach this year: • Consistently follow simple, two-step directions and begin to follow more complex directions • Demonstrate large muscle movements such as hopping, kicking a ball, and moving forward and backward with agility • Share stories with teachers and peers • Use scissors with increased ease • Respond to questions asked by teachers and other trusted adults using five- to six-word phrases consistently • Understand the concept of counting and identify some numbers • Differentiate between “same” and “different” • Increasingly cooperate with friends • Have a general sense of time * iPads or computers are available in our Preschool 1 classroom as appropriate for milestone development. Children will interact with technology on a limited basis with adult monitoring to explore digital concepts. The use of technology to enhance learning has many benefits, including promoting logical thinking and creativity, providing game-like learning, and supporting additional learning modalities.
