4 to 5 years old Preschool 2 and 3 Our Preschool 2 and Preschool 3 curriculum is developed for our four- to five-year-old children and provides them with foundational language, writing, numeracy and social-emotional skills to be school-ready.

5 years old Kindergarten

Our advanced Kindergarten curriculum meets or exceeds

national and state requirements for every state in which we operate.

Curriculum Components:

• Circle time to foster communication skills and social-emotional development • L.E.A.P.® workbooks to further refine motor skills and critical thinking • Journals used to introduce letter formation

Curriculum Components:

• Knowledge of letters, sounds, and early literacy skills through our phonics program with Phoebe Phonics® • Integration of technology such as L.E.A.P. Interactive® boards and classroom devices* to hone 21st century skills • Participation in real-world philanthropic events through our Philanthropy program with Grace and Charity • Exposure to foreign languages and cultures through our L.E.A.P. into Spanish® or L.E.A.P.® into Mandarin program with Tito Toro® and Ping Panda® • Continuation of sign language with Gibby Gibbon® • Continued exploration of manners and etiquette with Penny Polite® • Physical fitness and gross motor activities with Flexi Flamingo® • Teacher-facilitated exploration in learning areas such as dramatic play, art and sensory, math and manipulatives, etc. • Outdoor time to encourage movement and play with peers

A snapshot of several of the many milestones your Preschool 2 and 3 learner should reach this year: • Consistently follow more complex directions • Demonstrate large muscle movements such as standing on one foot, hopping, and skipping confidently • Consistently count ten or more objects • Print letters and numbers • Respond to questions asked by teachers and other trusted adults using complete sentences • Differentiate between “same” and “different”

Kindergartners will: • Build on challenging academic concepts introduced in our Preschool curriculum • Learn advanced concepts in math, science, social studies, and language and literacy • Learn through activities that cater to visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles • Demonstrate mastery of concepts through paper and pencil assessment, hands-on projects, learning labs, performances, and more

• Play with small groups of peers • Understand time and routines • Independently complete self-help tasks such as zipping, lacing, buttoning

* iPads or computers are available in our Preschool 2 and 3 classrooms as appropriate for milestone development. Children will interact with technology on a limited basis with adult monitoring to explore digital concepts. The use of technology to enhance learning has many benefits, including promoting logical thinking and creativity, providing game-like learning, and supporting additional learning modalities.
